STATION HOUSE SHOW AND SHINE
Saturday August 20, 2011 11-3pm
Hi there and thank you in advance for taking time to learn more about the
special event that we are hosting.
On Saturday August 20th, 2011 will be hosting our first Annual Show and Shine.
All the proceeds from the event will be donated in the name of Lucas Beck to BC
Women's Hospital and Health Centre Foundation. Little Lucas Beck was born
premature at 25 weeks. He has endured numerous blood transfusions and one
operation, and while everyday is a struggle he and his family are overwhelmingly
strong and optimistic. The purpose of highlighting Lucas's story is to
showcase the amazing work of the BC Women's neonatal intensive care unit's
technology, doctors and nurses and that without them babies such as Lucas
wouldn't have a fighting chance.
Participants will pay a registration fee, which will include a burger and beer
with all proceeds going to the said charity. We will have prizes for
different car categories, door prizes, 50/50 raffles and a live band for
everyone's entertainment. The pub and restaurant will be open featuring a
BBQ on our licensed patio. Portions of all purchases in the pub and
restaurant will go towards the fundraising efforts as well.
We are extending an invitation to local businesses to support our Show and Shine
with donations for prizing, fundraising, advertising, etc. We would like
to get the community involved and have space for local businesses to set up
tables to advertise services and products related to the automotive industry.
All supporters will have mention in our advertisement and announcements
throughout the day. Any businesses wishing to have their logo on
promotional posters must have their information submitted no later than Friday

Each person is able to register as many cars as they want. Capacity will reflect
how many people are able to register. First come-first serve. Registration cost
is $20 & includes a burger, fries, and drink.
